Welcome Back!!

I am writing this on New Years Day, 2019.  I truly hope everyone has had a blessed and joyful Christmas and break from school.  It is time to get the second semester off and running.  As fast as the first semester goes each year, the second is always a blur.  We start classes again on Thursday January 3rd. The staff will be in on Wednesday for a morning of in service working on getting certified to be observers in the Eleot, which is Advnac-Ed’s classroom observation tool.  We will be using this to prepare for  a peer visit by Manhattan Catholic School in late February.  We will be going to Manhattan Catholic in late March to have a peer visit there also.  This is all in preparation for the Accreditation Visit for the Diocese in 2021.  Please keep all of us in your prayers for this training.

January is always full of activities as well as classes.  The 8th grade class will be traveling with the Salina Diocese group to Washington DC for the Right to Life Rally and March. They will leave on January 16th and return on January 20. The Jr. High basketball teams will have a busy month with 5 games scheduled and a possible make up game from the first semester.  Catholic School Week is January 27 – February 2nd.

We all continue to keep all of you in our prayers and thank you for your continued support of St. John’s School.  We ask your prayers for all of us also as we move into the second semester of the year.
