Time for another Great Year

Good morning!!  Its Friday and the first day of In-service for staff.  Most of the staff has been working in their rooms off and on for 2 or 3 weeks but that is the nature of teachers. They have all been decorating bulletin boards and hall ways preparing for those smiling faces to hustle in on the first day of classes next Wednesday.

We are looking for a great year filled with lots of learning and new experiences.  We have begun a new accreditation format in the Salina Diocese and are in our second year.  We are now being accredited as a District and not as individual schools.  This year we will be setting our goals as a school and also as  Diocese(District).  All schools will also have “Peer Reviews” scheduled.  We are paired up with Manhattan Catholic School. We will send a team of teachers to their school to make observations and give them feedback on what they see happening in their school and they will do the same for us.  This is leading up to the final accreditation visit in 2021.  I will try to keep you all up to date on this as the year progresses.

As we enter this year, I would like to say “Thank You” once again to St. John’s Parish and all of the parish organizations that help St. John’s School each year.  Thank You also to the Hanover community for their continued support.  Thank You to all those people who worked at cleaning the building during the summer.   Please keep all of us in your prayers each day as we continue on our “Faith Filled Journey” of educating our students.  May God bless you all.
